Naomi Yanos Releases New Single “Discoball Dress”
Alternative artist debuts second single off of upcoming album

Emerging artist, songwriter, and producer, Naomi Yanos, released their newest song “Discoball Dress” today. The explosive track will appear alongside its predecessor, “Joan”, on their debut album, Into the Icebox, set to release February 19th, 2026.
“Discoball Dress” explores what apathy feels like. “Discoball Dress” sounds like it will detail a one-sided relationship until the pre-chorus moves the subject to a (bordering on melodramatic) narrator who is chronically disconnected with every aspect of life, self-describing as “Roadkill with my bedroom eyes.” The self-produced instrumentation mimics this lyrical trajectory, starting off bubbly and sparse before shifting into an ominous, distorted guitar-based sound and then eventually into a maximalist synth outro.
As a lifelong musician and recent graduate of NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Yanos has dedicated their time to their craft and honed their ability to create a sonic world fueled by art and angst. Having toured alongside artists such as Donald Fagen of Steely Dan and Jon Anderson of Yes, they have demonstrated their ability to captivate a crowd, and have been steadily building a core fan base. In 2025, they saw a 1,035% increase in Spotify listeners, with a total of 71k streams on the platform over the year. Into the Icebox will follow their previous EP’s Trying To Keep My Toes (2024) and Rock in the Forest (2025).
